Gary L Nesslein, DDS MD
Dr. Nesslein graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a BS and BS in BA degrees. He then attended the UMKC Schools of Dentistry and Medicine. Post-Graduate training experience included: University Health /Truman Medical Center/St Lukes Hospital System/KC-VA/Childrens Mercy Hospital. Dr Nesslein served as Chief Resident for one full year. PGY-1 in General Surgery obtained at Truman Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center. He is currently on staff at Liberty Hospital.
Active Board Certification with Diplomate Status is maintained via American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and The National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Membership: The American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, The Missouri Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, The American Dental Association,
The Missouri Dental Association, The Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Clay-Platte Dental Society, Past President.
Patient safety is of prime importance with staying current in American Heart Association Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support skills; plus obtaining over 60 hours of continuing education in both Dentistry and Medicine each year.
Dr Nesslein participates in community service with sponsorship ads to local school activities and charity golfing events. Participation for many years in the MO Dental Association large scale free dental clinic weekend known as MOMOM: Missouri Mission of Mercy donating dentistry and surgical skills to those in need. Also maintains active participation with the D-D-S program Donated Dental Services to provide gratis care when needed. Dr Nesslein continues providing service as a board member of the non-profit NOVA Center of Kansas City for the past 20+ years. Nova supports individuals with developmental disabilities with a K-12 school, residential living with adult group homes, and day habilitation services with life skills training.
Dr Nesslein is approaching 40 years of marriage to Susan and has three grown children.
